First indications on Ryzen 7000 and 2x48GB DDR5-6000 RAM

Until recently, I thought AMD was not going to do anything about this until Zen 5. If the rumors are true (AMD Working on AGESA Update for 24GB and 48GB DDR5 Memory Module Density Support | TechPowerUp) then it might be finally possible to extend 64 GB threshold and not loose speed on a consumer Zen 4 CPU. I don’t really envision myself peeking to 128 GB (obviously I could – but thats the diminishing returns territory for me --), but 64 is so damn small. 96 would be a really fine compromise.

It’s a very strange thing to develop, but I guess there must be quite a few hurdles with DDR5 that they have not gotten over yet to give us 128GB on two sticks
