The noscript devs got on it and released a new version. The temporary work around was using umatrix
Been wrestling with the same thoughts but I can say for certain that a different browser comes along with mostly the same abilities and i will abandon ship so fast…

Been trying Firefox Quantum on several VM’s I use a lot. It still buggy vs chrome and some features like start where you left off. They start with an old version of the page where you think nothing has happened when in fact the level1forums etc has moved on and there are new post. So you have to press refresh on every tab.
It a simple thing but a real pain in the ass stuff. And some of the google services which why not stop using but still we need are buggy as well. Is that FF or google poisoning the well I dont know.
