Fedora Downgrade VirtualBox possible?

So currently Fedora has VirtualBox version 6.1. I’m trying to have direct3d acceleration in Windows 2000 guest however after reading a few guides online it seams version 6.1 of VirtualBox broke this feature. Now the latest version that still support it are the 6.0.x.

Now Fedora, and I assume other distros, package VirtuaBox with kernel modules specific to the shipped version.

But is there a way to make VirtualBox 6.0.x work with an updated Fedora?

Essentially I’m trying to run some old games (1998-2006) with direct3D acceleration and there are some guides online to do that with QEMU and VirtManager however the guides and steps are convoluted so I shifted my attention to VirtualBox isntead as the interface is more user friendly and it seams overall more stable than virt manager.

Uninstall it and search the internet for an rpm with the older supported version (dnf install “url”). Install that. Make sure its a verified one though.

Side note. virt-manager is just a front end to kvm. You’ll not find a more stable hypervisor in any ecosystem.
