Fedora and yubikeys

Hello All,

Recently switched to fedora to fix the issues I was having with my elgato facecam on manjaro. Been liking it so far until I had to use the PIV functionality of my Yubikey for work. Seems to be a bug since fedora 36. I’ve looked at the forums, but the solutions of changing config files, and changing packages has not worked for me.

I seen people installing scute and getting temporary success until an update wrecks it. Has anyone else here dealt with this issue successfully?

Side note the yukikey manager appimage and the yubico authenticator flatpak work just fine. Kleopatra, thunderbird, any rpm package cannot see the smart card. Eventhough the cli tools see it just fine.

i’ve been using ykman from cli for my yubikey

havent noticed any issues.

Yea that’s what I experience too, I’m just trying to learn the cli now. I’m just surprised Fedora partnered with yubico and their products have been buggy for over a year now on their platform.
