I need a phone that allows me to text and call and nothing else, but has a really long battery life. I have a nexus 7, so I don't need an android phone, I have my tablet almost all the time, so I want a cheap phone that I don't have to remember to charge for a long time, I don't use it much but when i'm out I want to be able to reach someone if I need them, that's about it.
Something without a backlight might be nice, I don't know, any suggestions?
Most feature phones will have quite long battery life, up to the point where you start to not be able to notice the difference between different feature phones. Back when flip, slider and candybar phones were mainstream, people didn't compare then in regards to battery life, they didn't really compare them at all. Lots of people had lots of different feature phones that lasted them a week or so, therefore nobody really cared.
I had a Nokia N95 up until a year ago as well, and that thing lasted me about 4-5 days (usually makes it through a school week) on one charge, with 3G, WiFi, and Bluetooth on. Now I do the same thing to my HTC One M8, and although the HTC is supposed to have more battery life then the Nokia, I have to charge it every day.
If I could find one at a decent price, I'd have grabbed a Nokia 808. I still have a Motorola Z10 as a backup until my prepaid year runs out (next month), which I'll be dropping mobile data and switching back to it. I still get nearly 10 days of usage (talk and text), even with an older battery. Sweet little slider that Z10.
Or track down a Nokia 515. I may end up buying one when the Z10 kicks the bucket finally.
Philips Xenium phones have like 1000+ hours stand by time.
note 3, battery last forever with a power efficient rom.
