Feature comparison of TRX50 and WRX90 motherboards (2025)

With the official launch of AMD’s new Threadripper 9000 series, I’ve updated my feature comparison list for TRX50 and WRX90 motherboards by adding the new Asus TRX50 board, checking for compatibility, and updating all prices.

It looks like all motherboards received Threadripper 9000 support, depending on the manufacturing date, a update may be required however.

I didn’t add the new H13SRH from Supermicro as it is a proprietary board for their A+ server platform.

As always, should you spot a mistake, or want me to add a future motherboard, feel free to message me!

Updates:
I added the current state of CXL support, now that CXL support seems to be official.

Some of the boards provide different PCIe features depending on the installed CPU. I’ve tried to document all of these. However some of the older board’s documentation hasn’t been updated for the 9000 series, yet.

Did you know Gigabyte makes a WRX90 board? I didn’t. Now that I do, it’s been added to the table. Better late than never…
