Yeah... Tears in rain, of course. My favourite movie, and favourite scene.
The Godfather Part 2
Words cannot tell how well this was done.
That one where the guy does the thing
But really probably any of the bruce lee fight scenes
I drink your milkshake!
I can narrow my favorite scenes down to two:
The first is the end (shoot-out) scene from Unforgiven. The main character, played by Clint Eastwood, was an aged cowboy who lived recklessly in his youth until he met a woman who managed to show him a better path. The movie takes place some years after this, when his wife had died, and he lives on a ranch with his two kids. Times were hard, when a young man found him and tries to recruit him to go bounty hunting, since the young man had heard tales of the man's ruthlessness. He refused at first, but then reconsidered after thinking about how much the money could help his family. So, after picking up his old friend, playing by Morgan motherfuckin' Freeman, they all went on a killin'. They succeed, but, of course, things have consequences - which culminates into the final scene.
Lastly, but not leastly, is Apocalypse Now. The movie has so many good scenes, but the one that takes the cake is Colonel Kurtz' (Marlon god-damn Brando) monologue near the end. Not only is it a great example of actor improv, but it is the first serious look at this mysterious monolith of Colonel Kurtz that was always mentioned through-out the film.
I really wanted to stick with just one, but, it's too hard. If I was guilt-free enough, I would start listing some scenes from some Kubrick films, because he always had interesting cinematography.
Total Recall
