"The mysterious Mechanist has unleashed a horde of evil robots into the Commonwealth, including the devious Robobrain. Hunt them down and harvest their parts to build and mod your own custom robot companions. Choose from hundreds of mods; mixing limbs, armor, abilities, and weapons like the all-new lightning chain gun. Even customize their paint schemes and choose their voices!"
I think this is one of the first times I've seen a season pass go up in price after a game is released. This DLC seems more focused of the crafting side of things rather than narrative stuff though.
I don't like this, at all. Bethesda used to focus mainly on quests and areas to explore and the modders did this goofy shit, now it's backwards and quest/new lands mods don't exactly pop up often...
That's cause for years and years people whined and complained to Bethesda to make there dlc based on what the mods where doing.
Gotta love that push for sales. Season pass is $30, but we are going to raise the price to $50 because of all the work we are doing so buy it while it is cheap! This smacks of revenge for the paid mods thing.
Ah yes, the console noobs have been very loud about that meanwhile pc crowd is like nah fam we got this handled just give us more quests and exploration
i think the other DLC is a whole new island with a lot of unique quests etc. being able to control and upgrade my own robot army is what i wanted most that was missing.
How Is this even remotely fallout?
Supposedly the big story dlc is going to have the largest area they have ever added and it is supposed to be well fleshed out.
@Yoinkerman are referring to top down 1&2?
If so didn't Bethesda just buy the ip for fallout and make fallout 3. At this point it's obvious Bethesda wants fallout to be a AAA Fps with minor rp elements.
After 250 hours of Fallout 4 it's not more contents that could get me into the game again, but some serious improvements to the game engine. Which I'm pretty sure Bethesda are not capable of. Here's hoping Fallout 5 at least will have a new engine in 2022.
are mods for console versions out yet? those poor bastards, i modded that shit right away.
imagine if they were just taking the files from nexus and altering it to release DLC.....
its right though, with mods you dont need dlc that adds features in my opinion just aswesome quests which to be honest fallout 4 lacks vanilla
The company wants to make what the consuming party wants.
But the consumers create what they want already.
So the company should just cut the modders in on the tip top ten mods. Polish em up, and make em officially
That sounds a lot better than their last scam of just letting people go crazy selling $10 swords and other nonsense.
LOL
"DLC made me so mad I cut myself"
From previous experience I never buy crappy season passes, just the one DLC I want It's more than a bit rotten they decided to jack up the price, they've made obscene amounts of money so far and like many pointed out a community of talented modders they could utilize to help add content, fix bugs etc.
I recognise a few of my favourite glitches from fallout 3 and NV, they don't happen as often but sometimes, my first attempt at the game the main quest fell of the rails after killing the death claw and getting the power armour. They would just never follow me to sanctuary. So I just went on a murder spree exploring and doing whatever until I felt like starting again. I'm about haIf way through the minutemen and brotherhood quests this time round and so far no problems with any main story line critical NPC's or quests that would stop me finishing the game whenever i feel like getting back to playing it. haven't even looked at any mods yet, has someone made an awesome mod that lets you steal and collect and upgrade a robot army?
