Evolution Mail On OSX

So... At work they they give us Macbook Pros and we're expected to do all our development on them. My problem is that the mail client is terrible. I'd like to switch to something else of decent, preferably OSS; I tried getting Thunderbird working, but it doesn't seem to support MS Exchange very well. I was looking into Evolution Mail and it looks like it has very good support for MS Exchange, but it doesn't really work on Mac.

So my question is, can you have a wrapper layer like Wine to run Linux applications on OSX? Is there some way of getting Evolution Mail on a Mac?

I have to admit I didn't try this, but isn't Wine a compatibility layer for Windows applications only?

Oh my gawd I think I found what I was looking for: http://www.finkproject.org/index.php?phpLang=en

I'll try getting it working later today; will post results.

Edit: Found a tutorial too http://www.simplehelp.net/2007/05/09/how-to-install-linux-applications-in-os-x-a-complete-walkthrough/
