in my system only one of the corsair ssds will show up in proxmox despite enabling bifurcation 4x4x4x4
the card and ssds work fine in other systems, updated Motherboard firmware and same behavior.
any help would be appreciated
system:
asrock rack EPYCD8
EPYC 7601
4x 32gb 2666mhz ddr4 ecc
4x corsair MP600 CORE XT 4tb in asus hyper m.2 x16 gen 4 card
1x intel 670p M.2 2TB (boot drive)
running latest proxmox for os
Did you count the slots the right way? On my Supermicro boards, slot 6 is closest to the CPU. On consumer-grade boards it’s the other way round.
Same with mine. Seems to be the way SuperMicro does it for whatever reason.
Also, sometimes missing slots still take a number. might only have slots 2, 4, and 7 for example, the others just don’t exist.
Only one ssd showing up points at the slot being set to x16.
So most likely, you just put them in the wrong slot compared to your setting.
you know looking at the diagram would help a lot, you’re right I had it set wrong wow, this simple error has been bugging me for over a week, I really need to look closer at the diagram
the top slot is 7, and the next x16 slot is slot 5
