Hello all,
I have a gigabyte designare motherboard and running Ubuntu 18.04. I have enabled fast booting and now I cannot enter the bios to make changes. I have plugged in a PS2 keyboard and tried to press del and F2 when booting, with no success. Can you please help me?
Thank you for your time,
George.

Does the grub menu show an option to enter the system settings?
Also, welcome
Thanks for your prompt reply!!
The grub menu only shows me options regarding ubuntu (e.g. start ubuntu, start recovery mode, etc).

You could do it quick and dirty by disconnecting the hard drives, and enter the uefi after the system complains about no bootable mediums found

hmm, disconnecting the nvme drive? Something more “software-wise”?

Apparently systemd has a feature for it, was unaware of that
systemctl reboot --firmware-setup
Great! I’ll try that and I’ll let you know! Thank you very much for your time!!!
I tried it today, since I had a code running the last few days. It says:
Cannot indicate to EFI to boot into setup mode: Operation not supported

Then I’ve got no idea, might be worth a shot holding the setup key pressed /after/ which you turn on the pc
You could clear BIOS to get the default settings which should disable fast boot.
Thanks for the reply! I’ll try the CMOS button then.
