Eject AMD GPU (Virtualization)

Hi Guys,

I’m using an AMD GPU with passthrough virtualization. Running a Windows VM will lock the GPU so you have to reboot the Host to be able to reuse it again.
I think there is a way to “eject” the GPU during windows shut down, so it will be freed up correctly. Does someone know how to?

Regards.

There is a post that says it solves the problem but I don’t do VM and pass through so have never tested it and it seems like no one else has either. So I cannot say if it works but in would love to see people try and then confirm it.

AMD GPU reset bug fix just for future searches as I could not remember the title.

Good, this question still shows up nearly weekly and as far as I can see at a glance no one seems to know it is fixable. So hopefully it will get more visibility.

@Yoray it took me a good 4 or 5 searches and we.lucky guess clicking to find it.
