Either PCSX2 has come a long way or Windows 10 boosts performance massively?

A video i put together of me running my GT3 PS2 disc straight from my DVD drive at solid 50FPS and 2x native res, it can handle 4x and higher but video ram fills at the start of races causing major slow down until it flushes, it's PCSX2 caching everything, this does not happen at 2x native.

But seriously? Phenom II rocking that shit.

PS2 games on PC? What exactly are you using to do this and how well does it work?

He's using PCSX2, as the title of the thread stated. It's the best, if not the only, PS2 emulator for PC.

@overpoweredtea I've tried FF XII recently (on W8.1, not W10) and didn't notice any major performance improvements since years ago. One good thing is the menu fix but other than that I'm still getting solid performance and a bit of a weird rendering of the portals on the minimap. With speedhacks was even working on an Nvidia 8500GT with 512MB DDR2 ram.

I'll have to bust out the old emulator. Haven't used it since Win10 upgrade

The PS2 Emulator has been out and has been working perfectly for a few years now. If my memory serves me right around 2009 / 2010.

Well I know I have a few PS2 games laying around and so I got to try this.

They recently got DX12 is ePCXe. I'm not going to be surprised if that gets spread around elsewhere. Would still be better in linux ;3

If you want to load from disc you'll have to also get PCSX Delta. It simplifies disc loading.

Anything for an upvote XD

Seriously though you would shit yourself in anger at how tedious it is to do w/o delta.
