So, I just watched the video about EPYC 4004, and decided what, if anything, Supermicro has to offer. And found a gem. Not something I personally would use, but may be of interest to some.
So, without much further ado, Supermicro’s eight node 3U EPYC 4004 server:
Oh, I agree. Just seemed like sheer insanity to have eight nodes in 3U.
But considering the kinds of deployments game server folks do? I haven’t paid too much attention to the benches, but Wendell did say that single core EPYC 4004 is basically the same as Ryzen 7000
