Editing Rig

so i need an editing rig it ill be using sony vegas pro 12 and the budget is 500 max

the following is from the vegas sys req's

  • 2 GHz processor (multicore or multiprocessor CPU recommended for HD or stereoscopic 3D)
  • 4 GB RAM (8 GB or more recommended)
  • OpenCL-supported GPU (NVIDIA, AMD/ATI, Intel) with  512MB memory or more
  • OHCI-compatible IEEE-1394DV card (for DV/HDV capture/print-to-tape)

These will be required, and i have build pc'c before so im fine with the end part but i've never build an editing rig and im not sure whats best.

usb 3.0 would also be nice.

i would also prefer it to be upgradeable for future exspansion to make it better (more RAM?)

i would like a case that is either a workstation case or a smallish tower that can be laid on its side if possible.

anyone up for the hunt?

500's pushing it, I'll se what I can do

APU for sure

neweggs combo deal server is down right now but you can still add them to your cart, you just can't go to their pages

choose the Rosewill PSU and Rosewill case combo, hit add to cart

to veiw the products individually

that Xeon is a qaud core i7 with HD p4000 which basically the professional version of HD 4000 but optimized for editing programs like the qaudro and firepro versions of nvidia and radeon cards

that was quick. Thanks a million sir.
