Anyone else wondering at the EEC DRAM prices? I’ve been following the DDR4 prices on and off on dramexchange, and have seen the price for 8Gb chips drop from over $9 to below $7 in the last 3 - 4 months; the price trends for (some) enthusiast-grade all-singing-all-dancing RGB sticks is following the same trajectory, but the serious stuff from Samsung and Crucial is still stuck to way over €10/GB (here in Germany).
Guess the demand for server class memory is still high.
Business are more likely to make a purchase they need (and produces a return on investment) rather than an enthusiast consumer who can just defer a purchase. In this case the vendors have less inclination to drop the prices on ECC DDR4
