Easiest way to rig a top down camera?

I’m looking at some stuff to do for YT videos, and I’m curious if theres anything anyone recommends for mounting, say, a phone for top-down video recording.

Otherwise I’ll try something with knex.

THX!

Glide Gear (who are known for their iPad & DSLR teleprompter kits) make several overhead shooting rigs. I believe B&H Photo carry them.

Can you drill holes in the ceiling?
Then you could get a ceiling mount and attach a 90° angle piece or an articulating arm

Edit:
In case you also want one or two DMX lamps overhead, putting a simple pipe truss up and clamping your camera rig to that may be the more flexible option.

…Wich would end you with something like this, from Glide Gear for example, as @ajkandy mentioned…

A full gheto build should be sufficient for a budding YTer. Dont invest too much if you just want to do this casually and inconsitently.

Start with something you have, be it knex or lego or spare woods and nails or twigs and twine. Keep costs at minimum and grow organically.

Or you could do a Google search on …

Doesn’t anyone use search engines any more?
