Dual monitors in Linux

again it sounds like linux isn’t properly seeing the edid data for that monitor. if it comes to the worst option you might just have to find an active adapter.

I just realized that you never gave the output of just

xrandr

go ahead and post that we may get some insight from there

I’m fairly certain that you want DVI-D-1 to actually be connected as VGA-1-1. I’m not sure how to get it to do this but hopefully that will get you closer to a solution.

I am thinking about editing vBIOS as a last free chance, if I can find that tool I used now and where to find port config. Looks like just buying an adaptor is a safer choice.

Okay. My GPU is definately damaged. It kind of works in linux (not all the videos on youtube play and some other stuff), but instantly crashes, BSODs and artifacts in windows, tested with 2 PCs and 4 vBIOSes (1 was custom and tested by me for more than a year). Looks like I am on iGPU for now, going to RMA the card on monday (1st time in my life with PC hardware, it’s so weird) and wait untill I have a bit more modern GPU to play with Linux.
And active adapter is also on its way here, so looks like this thread is useless, unless someone has a clue about how to resurrect my R9 380.
