Dual A6000 vs dual 3090

I need to build a new ML workstation and am trying to decide on the GPU. The models I typically run will not require the 48gb of VRAM that the A6000 has but aside from that what are the other differences between that and the 3090?

Yes, the RTX3090 has faster RAM and can overclock hence has a higher performance ceiling. But it’s also possible that Nvidia gimps the 3090 drivers in some professional programs (not sure for ML) so that you buy the expensive A6000.

Also double precision performance on 3090 is gimmped, also no ECC.
