DP Repeater + HDMI Splitter: compatible with VRR?

Questions about the L1T DP Repeater + HDMI Splitter:

  1. Does it support VRR pass-through to the DP side?

  2. Will we ever see a DP 1.4 version?

What I’m looking for here is something to solve the problems I’ve always had with capture cards, where they almost always induce some sort of tradeoff for the gaming-display: usually with what’s being displayed on the main screen (where I’m trying to operate at 4K + 144 Hz + VRR). I realize this DP 1.2 version can’t pull that off, but I’m hoping a 1.4 (or better) version eventually comes out that can.
