Download manager that can measure up to torrents?

Downloading stuff using borrowed mobile 3g connections and long distance wifi links is, crappy.

But what I believe to be worse is the lack of support for broken downloads and their solutions like torrents! I'm not familiar with download managing software so i use services like burnbit.com. This website allows me to download most files via the torrent protocol, but not through https.

Are there any other websites that can get me torrents to files behind https or a download manager that doesnt suck?

Bump....

Internet Download Manager is great. Opens multiple streams to essentially max out available bandwidth. Torrenting involves loss and a bit of unreliability but it does pretty well.
