i have been using arch as my main os for quite some time now, but I am still dualbooting into Windows for gaming,. I want to switch to a Win-Vm now (wanted to tdo this for quite some time, but I didnt have the horsepower). The problem is, that i am playing most of my games on my tv with my 5.1 surround system and that my reciever is fairly old, thats why it only accepts SPDIF input. That wasnt a problem until now, because my Mainboard has a SPDIF port and supports DTS Connect. Is it possible to use these techniques in a Windows Vm (Without an external soundcard, if i needed one i would rather buy a new reciever)?
