Doing some upgrading

So, I got something of a upgrade on my mind, and thought to ask from you guys your opinion as well.

CPU:

Board:

I have locked my mind on the CPU, still having bit of doubt on the motherboard. Any alternatives in ATX boards that could replace the Rampage board?

Thanks.

What do you plan to do with this PC ? Can you tell us the rest of your components ?

All-around-type of PC. Gaming, somewhat heavy file moving/ packing/ unpacking, random and casual video editing, overclocking, etc.

I have about all figured out, and only thing I'm not 100% sure is if the Rampage IV is suitable board to upgrade to.

Rest of the parts are available in my profile, but I'll list them anyway:

CPU:
i7 2600k @4.8

GPU:
Gigabyte HD7970

RAM:
A-data 8Gb 1600mhz DDR3

MOBO:
Asus P8P67 pro

PSU:
Chieftec "super series" 750w

The reason I am upgrading is that my current board is about to fail on SATA- ports, and since I got some extra money saved, why not upgrade?

You don't need to go socket 2011 for those needs. I would personally get a 4770k + beast of a mobo + 280x gigabyte to crossfire with that 7970 and you save 57 £ vs 4930k + rampage iV

Thanks for the idea, but like said, I have made my mind on the 4930k. And on the crossfire part, I had 2 HD6950s in CFX and they didn't work that great, had lot of minor problems with them and some bigger issues too.

I'd like to think that these parts would last maybe around ~3-4 years in use ( unless there's a part failure, like the case is now and forces me to upgrade bit earlier than I thought I'd have to ) and upgrade after that then again.
