Does the wired xbox 360 controller behave ingame like the wireless one

I have experienced the wireless xbox 360 controller on my steam games for a while now. It was not mine thou. I have to return it. If I buy the wired version of the controller will behave like the wireless one? I mean that when you are ingame all the buttons and stuff get automatically replaced with controller buttons?

provided the games you play support different UI profiles for XInput devices along with XInput bindings there should be no difference between wired and wireless controller outside of maybe minor input lag since it is wireless afterall

I have a wired xbox 360 controller after my wireless one died and it work exactly the same the same as a wireless on. You just need the drivers of the Microsoft website to get it to work properly in all games.
