Does Fedora 36 not run xorg at all by default? (e.g. in a live session or fresh install)

Just a really simple question - does Fedora 36 not run xorg at all by default?

Basically I’m just trying to establish that, if a certain mouse cursor bug occurs in both Fedora 36 and Linux Mint 20.3, then by definition it can’t be the fault of xorg nor wayland, correct? I’m quite the Linux beginner here.

(I tried making an account for the Fedora forums to ask this same question but the account-creation process was very problematic and, AFAICT, straight-up failed to create my account - so I figured I’d try asking here).

  1. open terminal
  2. pgrep Xorg

That’ll return a process ID if Xorg is running.

then by definition it can’t be the fault of xorg nor wayland, correct?

That sounds correct.
