DLSS/FSR/XeSS and Upscaling Performance

Given that upscaling techniques are now widely used among different games I was wondering about the performance impact of the upscaling task alone.

For example, I someone plays a game on a 3840x2160 screen with DLSS rendering at 1920x1080 will the performance be similar to someone having a 2550x1440 monitor rendering at the same 1920x1080?

I’m wondering because Samsung’s Odyssey G9 with 7680×2160 looks rather intriguing but running a game at this resolution is something no current GPU can stomach. However, 5120x1440 is perfectly fine especially if the render resolution is 3413x960. Now, given that DLSSTweaks allows users to change the rendering resolution 7680×2160 could also be set to render at 3413x960. But will it run at approximately the same FPS?
