Hey Guys and Gals
Til now my 1440p Monitor was hooked up over a DVI-D connection.
After some issues with the mouse in Skyrim I've read that it might help to hook the monitor up over Display Port.
Personaly I don't think that my mouse issue is linked to the Monitor cable I use, but the DVI vs Displyport question is still interresting.
What I've found online the DVI-D standart support a max resolution of 2500x1600 at 60hz. What should be enough for my 1440p IPS Monitor.
But in the same article I read that the Displayport offers a lot more bandwith, and the newer monitors liked it better because the monitor woulnd't have to do so much singal fidelling as with the DVI. (Which I don't quite understand, because both cables transmit a digital Signal...)
So, what do the Gurus say?
DVI-D or Displayport for 1440p gaming.
Has anyone switched from DVI-D to Displayport and found it a notable difference?
(Notable as in invest 20 bucks into a new cable...)
Looking forward to your Answers
Regards
Zapan
