I guess there was a big new patch released for Diablo 3 today:

I haven't played the game in a long time, but I'll give it a try out to see if things have changed for the better.

It definitely changed a few things, and I find it more fun to play now. I'm glad that the Diablo devs decided to get rid of the auction house; I honestly felt that the AH is what ruined that classic treasure hunting experience.
Other little fun additions, like paragon perk points, and the new method of selecting game difficulty is just icing on the cake. I'm currently leveling a new Wizard, even though they just got nerfed hard. :(
I played a few hours and can say the game is definitely a lot more fun now. With the new loot system you can actually get useful legendary and set items. The paragon system is great. I'm playing a wizard too,
I don't know about buying the expansion/dlc for it at $40 though, maybe when it is available for around $20 I will pick it up.
digging the graphical improvements. kinda laggy though. like the new paragon leveling points. no cool down when changing skills. also the loot drop is much better. just bought the expansion.
