Deus Ex (Possible spoilers if you haven't play

Well. I finally got round to playing this after a long time, and just completed it about 5 minutes ago, and I have to say it was really enjoyable. The skills i went for were low-tech (loved using dragon tooth), computer use, lock picking and electronics, so it was more or less assassin-based.

It was probably one of the better rpg's I've played, and definitely in the top two of sci-fi (well i say sci-fi, officially it's cyberpunk) RPG (Mass Effect being the other).

Just wondering what did you other guy's which have played choose at the end? Who did you decide to follow? Personally I ended up going with Tracer Tong's idea of reverting the world back into a modern-day dark age, 'to end all global tyranny', it was quite hard decision as all the choices had advantages and drawbacks, the drawback of Tracer Tong's was that the world would be in...well, darkness.

i did them all, but ya i followed tracer tongs first. its the ending the the games story actually follows. i beat it like at the beginning of the year and it really kinda left me feeling disappointed that I didnt get to play it when it was brand new.

Helios merger FTW. (the real ending)

also, the developers had said if there was more time they wouldve included a "join bob page" option.

Ah. Well when I was following Tracer Tong's option, Bob Page offered you like a share, but when I checked goals it didn't show up, so it looks like it was there, only it wasn't utilized =/

I saved it pretty much before the end so I'll try some other endings.

Something i didn't like is I couldn't stay with UNATCO :( I killed that guy on the plane thinking "Cool, so I can actually choose if i want to join NSF or UNATCO", but I spoke too soon :(

It is quite a good choice-worthy game though. I managed to only have to fight Walton Simons (out of bosses) I just killswitched gunther and nevara(?).

if you run from simons in the underwater lab you can fight him again at the entrance to area 51, i think thats a way cooler showdown than just ending him in the lab.

and if you help paul clear out the hilton hotel and you exit it through the front doors when youre done he will stay alive and meet up with you in hong kong. (have to keep sight of him during the battle because otherwise he disappears and ends up dead later on)

also, there is a secret MJ12 base in the sewers under new york, but you can only access it the first time you go to the city, (when smuggler asks you to go find his friend).

hmm. if i think of more easily bypassed events ill post some.

really, i didnt think that was it. are you like not counting invisible war in the story arc? because really that game confused the fuck out of me, because i mean denton is merged with an AI in it but its in Antarctica and the game said that the "Great Collapse" was caused by him blowing up area 51...

invisible war combined all the endings i think to make everyone happy. but to me it just felt more complete that JC merge with the AI, sense it was what he was made to do. plus helios was too big of a character to just introduce into the story and then kill off without letting him play his role. i guess both endings really work. the collapse ending can be justified by saying that "this is what happens when tech gets too advanced".

need to get around to playing dues ex ae

I killed him in no time (I say no time, I mean....no time when i figured out what to do? (Doesn't make sense, i know :P)) in the lab. I was confused (It took about 10 tries, but I did the least obvious thing to kill him). What I did is, well, at first i was shooting him with the plasma cannon thinking he'll be dead in no time - nope, and I kept trying that combined with electrocution - Not happening, in the end I just got my dragon tooth out, and it took him ages to switch from his pulse cannon to his dragon tooth that I'd already got about 5 or 6 hits to the head with the dragon tooth and low-tech mastered, all it took was 2 more hits and he was down.

There was a few funny parts in Deus Ex though, the kill switching was funny, when you say it to Anna Nevarre it's like "How did you know?" BOOM. :p
