I need to add ASUS Hyper M.2 x16 PCIe 3.0 x4 Expansion Card V2 to a dell poweredge r410 with a xeon e5649x2.
The goal is to use it to add 2 nvme ssd, since the 4 sata Drive ports are being used for 4 8tb hard drives. I’m setting up my first nas and figured I’d use the left over blade server I bought off facebook marketplace as a cheaper option to tinker with. My friend is very insistent that I should add a ssd for cache, but that means I need to connect 2 drives via the only pcie port I have access to.
