I wanted to aggregate the two 10gig ports on a Dell Intel x540 T2 nic on my ubiquiti switch for 20gig speeds, but I only have a gen4 x4 PCIe slot available. It looks like I won’t be able to adapt this card whatsoever in my situation, so I’m considering an X550 based nic instead.
I’m assuming that the newer generation PCI support on the X55 will actually allow me to hit those speeds in the x4 slot… Am I correct?
