Default Printer Keeps On Changing

Hi Friends,

My default printer keeps on changing automatically. has anyone faced any similar issues before. Kindly do let me know.

Windows 10 uses some bass ackwards metrics to determine the default printer.

If you go into Settings->Devices->Printers & Scanners and then scroll to the bottom, there’s a setting called “Let Windows manage my default printer” that you can uncheck to disable it.

Then to set the default, click the printer you want to set, hit “Manage”->“Set as default”

Worked perfectly. I also found this link gave the same resolution though.

Cool, didn’t know about the “LegacyDefaultPrinterMode” registry key. Thanks for the update
