Decent Headset under 100 Euros

Hey guys,

So I've been through my fair share of headsets now at this stage, and my second pair of Roccat Kaves are on their way out :( 

 

I'd like to find some sort of a properly sturdy headset with decent sound and microphone, what would you guys recommend. 

 

Heres a list of headsets I've had already and wouldn't be willing to Rebuy. 

SS 4H & 5H headset (too old now cba buying them again)

Cyber Snipa 5.1 Headset (Memory of them is positive but again too old).

Sennheisers pc350's (awesome at first but flimsy pieces of shit and overly expensive)

Roccat KAVE x2 (great headset but cbfa with how easily broken they are)

GameCon 777 headset (actually not bad at all cheap and reliable). 

 

Any other suggestions gaise?

Zalman zm 1 mic or antlion modmic + Shure SRH440

Shure SRH440 is nice but might not be your cup of tea if you're used to and like bass. What I'd suggest is Creative Aurvana Live + Zalman mic . The mic is pretty good, don't let the price fool you, I use it myself. The CAL headphones are an updated version of the very popular Denon AH-D1001. This would give you very nice sound considering the low pricetag. If you don't care for bass and just want nice sound quality the SRH440 is a good choice.

You're right indeed, i'll keep it in mind, since most people coming here asking for headphones are people who listen to electronic music.

although the CAL seems really really good, its probably a bit flimsy to me Id probably break them in a few weeks :(

Oh and yeah I would like some decent bass, as I am one of the guys who is into the garbage bass music :D

What on earth are you doing with your headphones? :P

100€ is pretty tight if you want good build quality & sound to be honest, but check out Ultrasone HFI-450, supposed to have good build quality for the price, and Ultrasone is known for their headphones especially for the bass.

sweet, haha nothing out of the ordinary, but when you jump up out of ur desk or whatever, flimsy builds cant whitstand a single fall, which I will admit is pretty much inevitable with me :D 

 

I was looking up also some of the following head phones any recommendation from these :

Shure SRH440

Philips O'neill sh09560

Sony MDR - XB500

AKG k 240

ATH WS55

 

Now you've mentioned Ultrasone HIFI-450 I'm considering them or the Shure 440. I also need a mic and only have onboard sound with mobo so will eventually need to upgrade those too. (if I got the Shure I could buy mic and xonar sound card in 1 go).

I'd say it's between the XB500 and HFI-450 since you said you want bass. While I haven't compared the two, from what I've read when people talk about them is that XB500 has more bass as in quantity, but the Ultrasones have better quality, not only for the bass but the rest of the spectrum too. XB500 can be quite "muddy" with some music.

Hey, Just looking on amazon, at the XB500 and Im a tad confused. There is 1 pair which costs 50 euro and another which costs 100 euro. I cant seem to see the difference but I want to check with you guys if there is ?

I see on the product link that theres 1 model called MDR XB500 XB - 100 euro and another called MDR XB500 B - 50 euro. Difference? (missing an X? lol)

which has made me suspricious that there is infact a lower model which lacks the quality in some way of the more expensive model (if there is infact 1).

After inspecting the case I'm suspecting that this cheaper product is actually falsly advertised and is infact the XB300 model. Although when you search for a XB300 they are only 30 euro on amazon not 50. Im confused.
