Debian 12.9 Freezes after Sleep Login

Currently having an issue that is effecting two completely different systems, one Ryzen 3rd gen based/RX 5700XT and 2nd gen Intel Core based, I’m using that run on Debian 12.9; both with fresh installs with SDDM/KDE 5.2.7

The issue appears logging back in after coming out of sleep mode…the issue is a complete freeze, to which I’m unable to get into TTY anything. Both systems are non-responsive requiring me to hit the reset button

It’s an ACPI issue, cannot resume from low C states

Disable low C states and hibernate in the mobo, unsure which switch can fix it but if you disable ALL power saving functions at the UEFI level it’ll fix it.

BUT you still have to wait 10 seconds to login after a mouse wiggle.

If you’re after the fix, I do not have it: sorry.

I did disable sleep mode in KDE settings to get started. I’ll have to roll around in the UEFI on my motherboard. Thanks for the heads up.

DRIVERS …

I installed the latest version of Debian 12.9 and did not install the drivers in my case for Nvidia, I left the default ones. Then I installed the respective graphic drivers and now it wakes up after going to sleep.
