Current status of m.2 to u.2 adapters

Hello fellow forum people,

Ya boi made a terrible financial decision and now would like to hook up a u.2 storage device to the pcie lanes wired to the cpu on a consumer motherboard… so to put that in English I need to connect a pcie4 u.2 device to the m.2 slot wired to my cpu.

I know there has been some discussion on this problem in the community a few months ago… has anything changed? Are there any pcie4 capable m.2 to u.2 adapters that won’t throw a fit of hardwate errors?

This one works.

I have also bought a 4 port card that support pcie4. It requires motherboard 4x4x4x4x bifurcation support.

Gotta use cables that are certified to work at pcie4 speeds. This one works

I need to plug into a m.2 slot and have a cable run to the drive. I also have the glow trends card you listed and it does work.

I fail to see where you went wrong here

So, I supplied a correct answer to a different question.
I guess I read what I wanted to read, not what you actually typed.

Sorry, I have no answer to your actual question.

Still trying to get this p5800x hooked up to my cpu rather than the chipset. Does anyone know if this adapter will work at pcie 4.0 speeds?
