um xp can only use up to DX9 so you wouldn't benefit from the 11 patch, also xp runs DX9 games faster or with lower specs than vista/7

This is the reason why i fucking hate consoles, My theroy is, they only made this game DX9 is because the consoles can't handle all the power required to run crysis at a very high setting. This is why PC's are the ultimate Gaming Machine

i think crytek built crysis 2 with DX9 from scratch not like the old crysis where they built it with latest DX10 tech, and what confirms my speculation is their adding only DX11 through a patch and not naively supported which is really not good.
