Hi guys,
So I've been lurking through Dream-Seller's eBay store, typing random searches, and this came up:
It's been published on the 2nd of February. It currently costs $770, which is in the top tier price for a Korean monitor.
But what caught my eye was the 100Hz with FreeSync and a 3ms response time. That in itself is unusually good, spec-wise. It is a curved 21:9 however, so it's gaming oriented.
There's the main specs (copied from the web store) are the following:
- Model : 34U100
- Panel : PVA
- Screen Size : 34" (21:9)
- View Angle : 178°
- Resolution : 3440 X 1440 100Hz (WQHD)
- Response Time : 3ms (OD)
- Brightness : 300cd/m²
- Contrast Ratio : 3000 : 1
- Dynamic Contrast Ratio : 5000,000 : 1
- Color : 16.7M Color
- Connection : DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI
- Surface Treatment : Anti-Glare Type, 25%
- Flicker free : Yes
- Adaptive Sync (AMD FREE SYNC) : Yes
- Low Blue Light : Yes
- Size : 815 X 440 X 255 (mm)
- Weight : 5.7 (Included Stand) / 8.5 (Package) (kg)
My questions are the following : What do you guys think? Is it a steal? Do you see any red flags which lower the value of the monitor in your eyes? Is this channel material for @wendell? Because for that price, I'd say you can start getting picky.
My first red flags are these:
- No mention of a VESA mount (a deal breaker for me).
- The color are nothing special (no mention of 4:4:4 Chroma, nor of 8+2 or 10bit).
- No mention of the DP version, nor the HDMI.
So this monitor is probably not for me (I'd rather have 16:9). But maybe it could be a good monitor for you?
Let me know.
