Crossflashing Intel official firmware on Ericsson XXV710-DA2 nics

Does anyone have any advice on how to go about trying to crossflash Ericsson Intel nics as I am not entirely sure as to what config/firmware file I am supposed to use for it. <3

What problem are you trying to solve? Why would you even want to cross-flash firmware in the first place?

These are instructions for the Intel X710 10Gbit card, the steps are probably the same. You will need to use a different firmware image since you have a different card but it should still be in the same Intel firmware and tools bundle

The issue is I am struggling to figure out which firmware would actually work on my card.

bump

hi,

Were you able to flash your card. I may have to do the same for Dell card.

Hi Everyone,

I was able to flash xxv710-da2 with intel firmware (Using EFI shell downloaded from Debian website).

PBA J46998

Complete driver pack from Intel website : Release_31.2.2.zip

Firmware used : XXV710DA2_9p57_CFGID12p0_OEMGEN.bin

I’d be careful with crossflashing this one. The Ericsson subsystem ID and NVM 9.16 suggest you’ll need the exact XXV710 NVM package for the target card, not just a generic config file. I’d dump and back up the current NVM first before trying anything.
