Cpu Cooler

I have a Amd fx 6300 and i want to know if the stock cooler is good enough for gaming for long periods of time. I have a mid tower case so heat sink room is an issue, it only can fit up to a 158mm cooler.

are you overclocked?

the stock fx6300 on stock fan will get maximum 60°C on load, like mine fx4100 does. IF you keep clean the fan and rims.

the stock coolers are ok at keeping the chip cool if your not overclocking but thay are very loud thay spin up to 3500Rpm and that gets noisy

I am not OCing thw processor. I just want a good cooler that will keep my cpu under max load under 60c. I have been looking at the Phanteks PH-TC12DX, It will just fit in the case and it has dual fans.

if your not overclocking dont spend too much on a monstrosity of a cooler a $20 coolermaster 212 evo will fit your needs and even give you room to overclock in the future if you whanted.

+1 for the Phanteks PH-TC12DX. but indeed if you are not oc crazy things then a Coolermaster hyper 212 evo is also a good choice.
