Cpu battle: q6600 vs q9400

so after working a few times with my aunt, i'm waiting on a good amount of money to be deposited into my bank. (anytime now, freakin british embassy...) i just need a few bucks more (b-day coming soon anyway) and i can switch out the q6600 for the q9400 in my build.. is it basically a no-brainer to get the q9400, or is there something bad that i haven't read/heard about that tells me to save my money and go with the q6600?

i actually haven't read ANYTHING about the q9400 since it seems somewhat new.. and the thought of looking at better quad cores just came to mind. what do you guys think?

only reason why i'd get a q6600 instead is so that i can get this monitor and gpu faster >:0

if ur gonna overclock 6600. if not the other one

yea i was just going to overclock to around 3ghz something, whatever the stable ceiling is for not adding any voltage.

i'm leaning back towards the q6600 lol

for no additional voltage/very little 3.0ghz is VERY doable on a q6600. though id push that shit to 3.2 at LEAST.

you call tho

:D

1333FSB 1.4V for 3.0Ghz

1600FSB 1.525V for 3.6Ghz

maybey on oyur shitty board ;]

yeah just get the Q6600 so you can put more money towards a better video card

lol aight then that sounds good. q6600 it is.
