I recently noticed that there was a HX 850 refurbished listed on corsair website for $89.00, my question is would you buy a refurbished psu and would there be any downside to doing so.

Also, it's a great unit, I loved mine; very tight ripple, but refurb throws up a red flag. First of all, you don't need 850W most likely, and secondly, refurb isn't specific enough to know what the previous issue was, so I would just skip on it, and buy something new, like a Lepa G650, Seasonic G550, etc.
