Oh, really? Something I found interesting was a CPU-z bench test reached around 60-70C, but when I did a render test (in some very inefficient rendering S/W), that’s when it reached higher temps.
Thank you for that info, I don’t have access to a 3D printer, so may be when I’ve upgraded to the new machine (whenever that is!), I’ll give it a go then.

AVX workloads are especially heavy and will make more heat. I’m actually impressed if you’re able to stay below 80c with stock TIM at 5.8ghz. My 7700k would thermal throttle on an h100i at the voltages needed to get 5.8ghz. I’d bet good money you could get 5ghz comfortably out of that little guy with a delid and liquid metal application.
Well if I’m feeling brave, I’ll give it a go as I do want to make use of this CPU in another machine one day! Probably as a spare workstation, might try VMs with it too.
