Problem:
*The KVM has started switching on it’s own and over the past month it’s gotten more and more frequent. It can happen in the middle of a game or just browsing the web. It can also switch while both computers attached to it are off. I’ve come back to it in the morning to see it was on PC2 while I was using it on PC1 just the night before.
This problem has happened a few times throughout the last 5 years, but it usually just goes away after a week or so, however this time it seems to be sticking around.
Any idea on what could be causing this or how I could track down the culprit would be greatly appreciated *
Other Notes:
I’ve had the KVM switch for about 5 years now. After about 1 year, the keyboard hotkeys to switch to a different PC no longer worked, so I manually press the button.
Other than the sporadic switching, everything works great.
I would say 80% of the time it’s during a game and 20% it’s browsing Reddit or watching Youtube.
Game wise, I’ve noticed it happens in a variety of games such as Hades 2, The Binding of Isaac, Hearthstone, and various RTS games like Beyond all Reason.
So some games are heavy Keyboard usage and some have 0 keyboard usage at all.
I finally got a video of it switching by it’s self. It did this about 3 times and I captured the third. At the time I was just moving files around my computer. Copy/Paste and Extracting Zips

I actually think there might be something here, I remember a few months back having a an issues with my PC constantly getting plugged in then unplugged USB signals, So i’ll start down this path and report back
