Same CPU but the 2600x has a slightly higher base clock, 4.2ghz on max boost vs. 3.9ghz from the 2600 “non-X”.
If you know how to overclock you can get the 2600 to match the 2600x.

It is generally not worth it for a mild clock uptick that you can get by overclocking. You are looking a only a few frames difference even without the overclock.
