I’ve a Kindle Paperwhite that I got a few years ago. It works decently (other than it being an amazon device and not a fan of the ecosystem)
I’m thinking of switching to a different brand and from research Kobo/Pocketbook seem the best option.
I’ve been looking at colored epaper readers as I could read mangas/comings alongside books and the tech seems to have gotten better over the years
In particular I’ve been looking at the Pocketbook InkPad Color 3
Does somebody have a colored ebook reader? Is it good enough for Manga / Comic reading or the tech is still not there yet?
Depends what you mean by good enough. The resolution is good, the colour displays can be a little more screen doory than the black and white displays but it’s not really a problem. The colour is pretty desaturated though. I’d say it’s similar to the kind of colour you’d get in a newspaper.
If you were going to use it exclusively for colour manga/comics then I’d probably go with an OLED tablet but if punchy and accurate colour isn’t a priority then yeah they work pretty well for it.

Yeah perfect color is not the priority, it was mostly about if it makes sense to go for a colored one for the option.
