So i have a an old 160 GB Seagate HDD That i am turning into a coaster

So the coils are more gold than copper but it will work.
This is the new top, didn't like the sticker.

So i ditched the coils. paint looked tacky.

I've been using the disks from a old HDD as a coaster for some time now. The problem is the hole in the middle but usually forgot about it now days
Im using the entire HDD
I remember a while ago, I bought a pack of 25 Floppies and I used them as coasters. They're just about the right size and I had them in a plethora of colours.
lol. bout all they're good for.
You just made me think about gutting an old HDD and sticking a Raspberry Pi in there.
That could be a pretty fun project.

Good use for an old hard drive. Although my hard drive coaster is just a WD Black I took out because it was throwing errors.
I couldn't just do a coaster after i realized i had an unused cpu fan.
