Claymore Dual Miner & Ethereum/altcoin guide

According to some forums I've read, as of 3 months ago, the DAG size was still 1.4GB.

Now I'm curious.... Why only proprietary drivers? Why can't something like radeonsi or plain ol' AMDGPU be used? Wrong OCL libs?

You got me. All I know is if you want to mine with Claymore, or churn out hashes with Hashcat, you need the proprietary drivers, be they AMD or Nvidia.

Wait, you can mine monero with a CPU? My ryzen has more hashes than my nvidia according one site…

You can mine monero with a CPU, claymore has a CPU miner for XMR, but I don’t think it’s been updated for years.

I just tried to mine Ethereum (ubq, really) + Pascalcoin. I’m mining the ETH just fine, but the Pascalcoin (DCRD on the reporting) turns up a bad share every time. How to fix?

Thanks,

Pete
