Cheap Power Supply With an 8 Pin for Motherboard

I am currently in the process of choosing parts for upgrades for my current build.

CPU : Intel 2320

Motherboard : MSI B75A-G43 Gaming ATX http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00CMYW68Q/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=28GCYDN7JOSJH&coliid=IFGZ7Y0ZMTWKH

Memory : 8GB across 2 sticks

1x Samsung Evo 250 GB and 1x Cheap 1TB

CPU Cooler : Coolermaster Hyper 212

Fans 1X 140MM Fractal Design Silent Series and 1X 120MM Fractal Design Silent Series

One normal DVD Drive

Graphics Card GTX 750 Ti / 760 (Depending on the money, more than likely the 760)

My question is what power supply would you reccomend that could power the system. I will be doing no overclocking (maybe a tiny bit on the graphics card)

Are you upgrading to the 2320 or is that what you have?

A CX 500 from Corsair is cheap and would give you plenty of power. You'd be hard pressed to find a PSU these days that doesn't have the 8 pin CPU power connector.

should be way more than enough and uber cheap. It has lengthy cables aswell.

No. No no no  no no no no.

First off, CoolMax? Really? Never even heard of them. The PSU itself looks like some cheap OEM POS. 700W for that price? I don't think so. I doubt it could put out anywhere near that level of power reliably. It is prob rated in peak power.

Plus if you look at the one review on Amazon the guys says it is shit. He bought two and both failed to power his rig and caused instability and crashes.

The CX500 is a very good PSU for the price and I recommend he buy that one. I have had quite a few CX series PSUs and I have never had a problem with them or Corsair's rebate process.

The XFX 450w is cheap and is a very good quality japanese caps its a seasonic OEM unit with all the Connectors you will need £35.

................................ DON'T CHEAP ON THE POWER SUPPLY!!!

ris rid is gonnd use average of 300w so an overkill cheap 700w psu should be fine,

No. That is incredibly stupid.

Plus it isn't even that cheap.

If he only needs 300W the Corsair CX430 is only $20.

Nope that is what I already had. Thanks for the suggestion.

Coolmax psu or any sh*t oem psu in a build for a pc enthusiast or any system for that matter.... No, no, no, no, no.

There has been too many peeps build rigs with good parts and a turd psu, stretching their budget hard. PSU then kills system, damages a component or supplies dirty power leading to bsods, lockups etc. Great now the poor fella is fubar'd, because he could have bought a half decent unit that wasnt a hand grenade and now he's left with a mess to sort out.

XFX 450w is a great choice as mentioned above, but the Corsair CX430 would suffice.

btw, cheap psu's rate their psu's maximum output, ie catch on fire output and not the safe continuous output.

Well not all coolmax units are bad. V600,RM and NW series are okay. But the one Voltan posted is definitely not a decent one lol.

Anyway, i would grab a XFX 450W or 550W. or one of those corsair CX series. if you look for cheap.
