I was quite surprised by some Chinese PC motherboards.
For example, JGINYUE’s B650I “Night Devil”.
AFAIK, it has no peers western brands. Not at that price.
It’s a mini-ITX MoBo that was reviewed well in the west and can run RAM smoki’n fast ( people have reported 8400MHz).
And it cost €100 or less. I’ve found links in China for €55. ![]()
Fits like a glove to something like 8700G or upcoming Zen5-based APUs that we are to see in 2026.
But now they have models with much beefier VRM that can feed even an overclocked 16-core.And PCIe5 GPU slot and M.2.
Something like B650E “Snow Dream”.
Unfortunately, this one has 4 RAM slots, so memory overclock might not go as high as 2-slot boards.
But this is where B850M Aurora-B comes in.
Unfortunately, Aurora doesn’t have that big VRM.
I sure hope they do B650E μATX version of “Night Devil”.
Existing B650M “Night Devil” looks GREAT, except that it has PCIe4 only.
I haven’t checked the prices on any of these yet, but I’d be surprised if they are more than €120 in China.
Given that this doesn’t quite fit all of my needs yet, I’m still looking.
Questions:
- Are there other Chinese names worth knowing about WRT interesting, fast, cheap MoBos ?
- Are there other cool, cheap Chinese MoBos that can do PCIe5, both for dGPU and M.2 ?
- Does anyone have recent hands-on experience with these things?
- Where is best to get them ?
- People have been reporting on first Chinese DDR5 chips and sticks. Does anyone have more data on that ? These sure could come handy now…
