Can't run monitor at 165 Hz

KVM Model:

PAAG-E3122B (SQ8628028 generation, serial Z4G47BWJ00006)

USB Interface (5-gigabit or 10-gigbit):

5-gigabit

Problem:

I have a monitor that can run at 5120×2880 @ 165 Hz, but in Windows, I can only select a max of 120 Hz.

Other Notes:

165 Hz showed the first time I connected, but after switching to my macbook and back, it hasn’t shown up again. I use Club3D CAC-2068 DP 1.4 cables and my gpu is a 5090.

MacOS also caps at 5k @ 120 Hz, but I assume that’s an issue with either my mac (M2 Max) or my dock (Plugable TBT4-UDZ). I also have an M4 Pro that I plug in sometimes and the max resolution is only 4k. Again, not sure where the issues with Mac lie, but I figured I’d give you all the details.

Other troubleshooting: I turned on G-Sync and 10-bit color in the Nvidia Control Panel. A direct connection between the monitor and the PC allowed me to select 165 Hz.

Hmmm I would assume this is bandwidth/length-related since it’s on the upper end of what is possible of DP 1.4. You might try a signal booster?
